Authors
The majority of the Psalms (102/150) contain a header/superscription at the beginning listing either the authorship ("of") or the performers ("for") along with other musical information ("to the tune of", "a Maskil of", etc.). 48 of the Psalms contain no personal superscriptions, the rest of the authors are listed below:

- 3—9; 11—32; 34—41; 51—65; 68—70; 86; 101; 103; 108—110; 122; 124; 131; 133; 138—145
- Psalm 2 (see Acts 4:25)
